
A native of the neighboring Dominican Republic, Ortiz is donating shipments of food and medicine to assist the millions of victims of the Haitian earthquake. Red Sox fans who wish to support the Haitian relief efforts via the Red Sox team charity can do so on line or via regular mail. 100 % of donations received in response to this appeal will be used to promptly support UNICEF relief efforts in Haiti. To make a donation to the Haitian relief efforts via regular mail, please download and fill out the RSF donation form, checking the box marked "HAITI QUAKE RELIEF" and send it with your check to: The Red Sox Foundation, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA 02215. To ensure donation is designated to support the relief efforts, checks should be made out to "Red Sox Foundation/Haiti Quake Relief."
